The Jaguar Type 01 is a new four-seat electric grand tourer featuring a tri-motor powertrain. It delivers a combined output of 1,016 horsepower and 1,007 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle is equipped with an 850-volt architecture and a 118.0-kilowatt-hour battery, providing a range of 450 miles under the WLTP cycle.
The car features a 50:50 weight distribution, double-wishbone front suspension, and integral-link rear suspension with active dual-valve dampers. It offers five drive modes, including a Dynamic mode that directs up to 87 percent of power to the rear axle. The model also includes all-wheel steering, allowing rear wheels to turn up to 6.0 degrees.
The exterior design incorporates active aerodynamics, including a three-stage rear spoiler that generates 165.3 pounds of downforce at speeds exceeding 96.3 mph. The vehicle sits on 23-inch wheels and features thin HD LED headlights containing 20,000 LEDs each. The car measures 206.4 inches in length and 55.24 inches in height.
Inside, the Type 01 features a 24.0-inch OLED display and a 7.0-inch vertical touchscreen. The cabin includes a ClearSight Rear View display instead of a traditional mirror. Cargo capacity ranges from 15.9 cubic feet to 35.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Jaguar has not yet confirmed the official release date or pricing.
