Jaguar has officially unveiled the Type 01, the first production electric vehicle following the company's 2024 rebranding. The four-door model features a 1,016 horsepower powertrain utilizing three motors and a 120kWh, 850-volt battery. The vehicle offers an EPA-estimated range of 400 miles and supports fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in 22 minutes via a 350kW charger.
The Type 01 measures 204 inches in length and features a distinctively long hood design. Performance specifications include a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds. The interior adopts a minimalist aesthetic, replacing physical buttons with a 7-inch smartphone-style interface and incorporating luxury amenities such as massage seats and air purification systems.
The vehicle is priced at $130,500. Jaguar plans to open orders for the Type 01 in early 2027, with deliveries scheduled to commence later that same year as part of the 2028 model year lineup.
