Recent reports suggested that the ultra-luxury SUV under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) brand, Maextro, might be manufactured by Seres, implying a potential cancellation of the original SUV plans. However, an internal source at JAC Motors has officially denied these claims, labeling the rumors as inaccurate.
Seres has not provided an official response regarding the matter as of the time of reporting. The project remains a key focus for the partnership, with Huawei executive Yu Chengdong previously confirming that the vehicle is nearing its market debut.
During a visit to a HIMA store in Hefei on September 24, Yu Chengdong stated that the Maextro SUV is expected to launch in early 2025, specifically targeting a release window between February and March. He emphasized that the vehicle will feature high-end interior and exterior designs, along with advanced technological configurations.
