IVA Technologies has released version 29.0 of its IVA MCU professional video conferencing server. The update introduces expanded capabilities for the SFU media mode, including adjustable participant card sizes in the web version, mirrored video for mobile devices, and new layout options for desktop users. Administrators can now select between MCU and SFU modes at the template, event, or system level.
The IVA Connect client application now features an adaptive interface for iOS and Android tablets, allowing simultaneous viewing of chat lists and event content. Users can edit messages, while organizers gain enhanced moderation tools. Additionally, the platform now supports duplicating events to save preparation time and allows re-inviting participants in group calls with visual status indicators.
The update improves support for multilingual events by enabling cascade translation, where interpreters can listen to the audio feed of other translators. Security features have been significantly upgraded through deeper integration with DLP systems. Data leak prevention checks now cover all text fields, including event descriptions, chat messages, user profiles, and survey questions.
These security enhancements aim to provide organizations with stricter control over information flows and mitigate risks associated with human error. The new functionality ensures that sensitive data across all user-generated content and profile information is monitored, aligning the platform with high corporate security standards.
