The IT之家 browser extension has been updated to version 3.0, now available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. The update migrates the extension to the Manifest V3 standard and introduces a new sidebar mode that allows users to keep the news feed permanently pinned to the side of the browser window.

The new version includes advanced tab management features designed to prevent duplicate tabs. When a user clicks a news link, the extension automatically switches to the existing tab if the article is already open. Additionally, it offers automatic tab grouping, where articles can be grouped by custom names and colors to maintain a cleaner workspace.

Users can now sync their personalized news categories from their IT之家 account directly into the extension. The interface supports light, dark, and system-default themes, along with a text-only mode that hides images. The update also adds event calendar notifications for product launches and industry activities.

The extension provides real-time updates through badge counters on the icon and a refresh button in the sidebar. It also includes a right-click search function and a tool window. The development team has confirmed that a new WinUI version of the platform is currently in development.
