The Internet Society has introduced the Online Trust and Safety Hub, a free, multilingual resource center. This platform provides users with educational materials, including anti-scam guidance, online courses, and videos, to help navigate digital risks.
The initiative is supported by Google.org and features the Be Scam Ready game. It aims to assist individual users and various community organizations, such as those representing displaced populations and women-led groups, in recognizing online threats.
The project is part of the broader Safer Internet Initiative. The organization emphasizes that while individual awareness is crucial, governments, industry platforms, and civil society share the responsibility for maintaining a secure internet environment.
Founded in 1992, the Internet Society operates globally with over 130 chapters. The new hub is accessible at onlinesafety.internetsociety.org, serving as a centralized repository for practical safety tools and research-backed insights.
