Intel is reportedly planning another price hike for consumer CPUs in October. The company has already notified its major PC customers about the upcoming adjustments, which are expected to affect most consumer-grade processors.

This would mark the third price increase this year. Intel previously implemented a hike of approximately 10% to 15%, followed by another adjustment of around 15% in March. If the October increase is confirmed at 10%, some models may see a cumulative price rise of over 30% compared to the start of the year.

The price adjustments are coming at a time when other critical PC components, such as memory and storage, are also facing upward price pressure. This combined effect is expected to increase the overall cost of laptops, desktops, and pre-built systems for manufacturers.
