Leaked specifications for the upcoming Intel Nova Lake processor lineup reveal a flagship Core Ultra 9 4970K BFC model. This chip is expected to feature 28 cores, comprising 8 P-cores, 16 E-cores, and 4 LPE-cores, with a TDP of 125W and an integrated GPU containing 32 execution units.

The BFC designation likely refers to a larger L3 cache, with some models offering up to 144MB. The lineup includes three BFC-branded chips, with the Core Ultra 9 4900 BFC positioned as a 65W low-power gaming processor. The Core Ultra 5 4650KF is noted as the only model in the current table lacking integrated graphics.

While rumors previously suggested a 52-core variant, current reports indicate that high-core-count models with dual-tile configurations will launch after the primary series. The new processors utilize a four-digit model naming convention, marking a shift from previous naming schemes.

Intel is preparing for a near-term release of the Nova Lake platform. The hardware has recently passed compliance testing for USB and PCIe standards, and Z990 motherboards were previously showcased at Computex. The company previously confirmed a launch window before the end of the year.
