Insignary has launched Clarity AIR, a tool designed to scan source code for undeclared open-source components and AI-generated segments. The product identifies code snippets that are missing from standard software manifests and SBOMs, addressing risks associated with unverified code.
The platform functions by matching source code against a fingerprint database, identifying modified or AI-adapted code. It classifies AI-written output line by line with a confidence score and generates an AI Bill of Materials alongside traditional open-source documentation.
Human verification is required for every match identified by the system. The tool produces audit-ready reports and SBOMs, aiming to help organizations comply with evolving regulatory requirements, such as the U.S. OMB Memorandum M-26-05 and Canada's Bill C-8.
Clarity AIR is part of the existing Insignary Clarity suite, which includes binary-level analysis and SBOM governance tools. The product is currently available for deployment on customer-owned infrastructure, with trial licenses and a web-based demo accessible via the company website.
