Tech enthusiast JerryRigEverything conducted a durability and teardown analysis of the Honor Robot smartphone. The device features a standard screen glass, while the protective cover for the robotic camera module proved resistant to knife scratches.

During stress tests, the camera module attempted to retract even when obstructed by a finger. However, exposure to sand caused the mechanism to malfunction. While compressed air allowed the camera to extend, it failed to retract afterward, suggesting vulnerability to debris.

The device successfully passed structural integrity tests, showing no issues during bending. Its physical thickness contributes to this durability. Internal inspection revealed a unique cooling design where a heat-conductive film is attached directly to the display, allowing the screen to function as part of the thermal management system.

The teardown highlighted the use of unusually thick cables connecting the robotic module to the mainboard. Accessing the internal screws of the camera mechanism requires damaging a plastic cover, indicating that the module is not designed for easy repair or maintenance.
