Inpas has completed the certification of terminal solutions for the Volna payment technology developed by the National Payment Card System (NSPK). This technology enables contactless payments via Bluetooth Low Energy on both iOS and Android devices, addressing the current lack of Apple Pay and Google Pay services in Russia.
The certification covers five Pax terminal models running Inpas software. Specifically, the A8900, A920XTX, A930, and AF6 models now support UniPOS Droid 2.1, while the D270 model operates with UniPOS Terminal 3.0. This range of hardware is designed to serve various business sizes, from small retail shops to large-scale terminal networks.
By providing pre-certified hardware and software bundles, Inpas aims to reduce the technical burden on banks. Financial institutions can now bypass the need for independent development and certification of terminal infrastructure, which significantly accelerates the deployment of new payment projects.
According to Inpas product director Ilya Karpeykin, the company intends to expand the list of supported devices in the future. The integration of Volna into the UniPOS platform allows banks to leverage their existing terminal infrastructure to support new payment scenarios for their customers.
