The US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada issued a recall notice for INMO AIR3 smart glasses on September 24. The authorities requested that users stop using the devices due to potential overheating of the left temple during prolonged operation.

In response, INMO Technology stated on September 30 that the overheating issue was linked to specific third-party applications not tested by the company. These apps reportedly caused abnormal power consumption during use, leading to the reported hardware temperature spikes.

The company has removed all identified third-party applications from its platform and updated the device's power management strategy. Users are advised to install the latest firmware version via official channels to ensure stable operation.

INMO Technology confirmed that the domestic version of the INMO AIR3 smart glasses is not affected by this issue. The company plans to strengthen its application review process and security mechanisms for its content ecosystem to prevent similar incidents in the future.
