The Injective Foundation launched the Injective Trench Treasury on October 6, 2026, to support ecosystem growth. The initiative focuses on rewarding builder teams and active community members, referred to as ninjas, who contribute to grassroots development.
The first rewards in INJ tokens were distributed to the communities behind Sprout and RunUp. These projects were selected for their role in driving user engagement and attracting new developers to the Injective network.
The foundation distinguishes this program from traditional grant models by prioritizing projects that demonstrate sustainability and long-term participation rather than funding early-stage concepts.
The total size of the treasury and the specific amounts awarded to the initial recipients remain undisclosed. Additionally, the foundation has not yet released a formal application process for other teams seeking support.
This treasury marks the first of several planned initiatives from the Injective Foundation. Separately, Canary Capital has filed an application for an INJ ETF, which is described as a staked INJ product.
