InfoWatch has launched Data Protector, a new tool designed to secure user and administrator accounts, as well as data at rest on workstations and corporate servers. The product provides audit capabilities for access rights and data content for information security departments.

The system utilizes InfoWatch's proprietary streaming data clustering technology, which enables full visibility of corporate data without requiring preliminary policy configuration. It identifies unused accounts and compromised passwords by monitoring directory services through multiple independent sources, capturing low-level changes not visible in standard event logs.

Designed for corporate environments, the solution supports horizontal scaling and can scan storage volumes in the hundreds of terabytes, with a performance rate of up to 1 TB per day per server node. It functions as a standalone tool or integrates with the InfoWatch Traffic Monitor DLP system to cover both data at rest and in motion.

Deployment of the software assists organizations in meeting regulatory requirements, including the Federal Law No. 152-FZ on personal data and FSTEC Order No. 21. According to InfoWatch, the tool helps reduce risks of regulatory claims and penalties by ensuring compliant processing and protection of sensitive information.
