Ineos Automotive has secured its first major military contracts for the Grenadier off-roader from the governments of Italy and Austria. The Italian Army selected the vehicle for its new fleet, with deliveries scheduled to commence in early 2027 through the regional distributor ATflow.
Austria opted for a specialized approach by contracting Valentin Tusch GmbH to supply armored variants of the Grenadier for its defense and interior-security forces. Deliveries and trials for the Austrian military are set to begin before the end of 2026.
The vehicle is also currently undergoing trials for the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence as part of the Light Mobility Vehicle program. The Team Grenadier consortium is one of seven remaining bidders competing to replace the British Army's existing Land Rover fleet.
Beyond these sovereign contracts, the Grenadier is already utilized by tactical and counter-terrorism units in Germany, France, and Spain. Security and border forces in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Slovakia also employ the vehicle.
