Infotex Internet Trust (IIT) has launched TrustCBS, a commercial biometric system designed for remote user authentication. The platform utilizes facial recognition technology developed by VisionLabs, which is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software.
The system supports various use cases, including facial payment processing in retail, application login authentication, and access control for office facilities. TrustCBS is officially accredited by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia.
The solution includes security features such as liveness detection to prevent spoofing via photos or masks, as well as a deepfake detector. According to VisionLabs, half of all accredited commercial biometric systems in Russia currently utilize their technology.
IIT developed TrustCBS based on its experience with the Unified System of Identification and Authentication (ESIA), the Unified Biometric System (EBS), and the Gosklyuch infrastructure. The product is now available for external corporate clients.
