The Hashgraph Group (THG) has entered a global partnership with IBM to integrate its IDTrust identity platform into the IBM Cloud Catalog. This move marks the first time a commercial enterprise application built on the Hedera network has been listed on a major cloud marketplace.
IDTrust utilizes decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials to manage permissions for humans, devices, and AI agents. The platform features MCP servers compatible with IBM watsonx Orchestrate, with all credentials anchored on the Hedera network to ensure auditable records of actions.
Through this agreement, THG has attained IBM Silver Partner status. The company also signed an Embedded Solution Agreement, granting it access to IBM Cloud and AI technologies to further support the development of identity infrastructure for autonomous systems.
The collaboration addresses the emerging enterprise need for 'Know Your Agent' verification. As businesses increasingly deploy autonomous AI agents to handle sensitive data and financial transactions, the platform provides a mechanism to confirm that these systems are authorized to act.
