The 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT features a rugged design with unique bumpers, skid plates, black cladding with a forged carbon-inspired pattern, and specific wheels. The interior includes exclusive patterned seats, dark-metal trim, and protective floor mats. The vehicle comes standard with the HTRAC all-wheel drive system.
The fifth-generation Tucson platform is 60 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and has a wheelbase extended by 30 mm. The rear-seat headroom increased by 29 mm, and the rear-door opening angle expanded from 73 to 83 degrees. Aerodynamic efficiency improved as the drag coefficient dropped from 0.33 to 0.30.
Engineers added extra noise insulation to the dashboard and thicker front door glass to reduce cabin noise. Revised engine and transmission mounts aim to cut vibrations, while new suspension tuning limits body movement. The model includes active air flaps, aero-optimized wheels, and a rear underbody spoiler.
The new Tucson will go on sale in Korea next month, with official pricing scheduled for announcement in October. Hyundai confirmed that the XRT trim is focused on styling rather than hardcore off-road capabilities, maintaining the powertrain options previously announced for the gas and hybrid versions of the crossover.
