Hyundai has unveiled the fifth-generation Tucson for the 2027 model year in Korea. The vehicle features a new design language and increased dimensions: it is 60 mm longer and 40 mm wider than its predecessor. The wheelbase has been extended by 30 mm to 2,785 mm, while rear headroom has increased by 29 mm.

The new model introduces the Memory Reverse Assist system, which records the path taken into a parking space to automate the exit process. Safety features now include software that detects pedal misapplication at low speeds and a 360-degree camera system with a Ground View mode.

The Korean-market version is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged mild-hybrid engine producing 190 hp, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A full-hybrid variant is also available, offering 242 hp. The interior features a tablet-style touchscreen with the Pleos infotainment system and USB ports supporting 100 W charging.

The SUV will be available in an XRT trim, which includes a distinct front grille, wheel arch trims, and a skid plate. The vehicle is scheduled for a global debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, followed by an American presentation at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
