Hyundai has opened orders for the Ioniq 3 in the UK, with the model qualifying for the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant. Prices start at £18,495 for the 42kWh Advance version, rising to £21,995 for the 61kWh model and reaching £28,195 for the N Line Evo trim.

Existing reservation holders will now receive the full government grant instead of the previously offered £1,500 saving. The vehicle, which was developed at the Hyundai centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, is scheduled to be manufactured at the company's plant in Izmit, Turkey.

The Ioniq 3 is built on the 400-volt E-GMP platform and features two battery options: 42.2 kWh and 61 kWh. The smaller battery pairs with a 108 kW motor, while the larger one uses a 99.5 kW motor. Peak DC charging output reaches 119 kW and 110 kW respectively, with a 10 to 80 percent charge time of 29 to 30 minutes.

The model offers a range of 344 kilometres for the Standard Range and up to 496 kilometres for the Long Range version. These figures surpass the efficiency of the Kia EV2. Customers can now configure their vehicles and view full specifications directly through the official Hyundai UK website.
