Hyundai Motor Group and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have signed a Letter of Intent in Seoul to foster industrial development and sustainable growth across Africa. The partnership aims to combine the automotive group's technical expertise in mobility and energy with the bank's development financing capabilities.

The collaboration focuses on six strategic areas, including the development of the electric vehicle value chain, clean energy transitions, and transport infrastructure. Both organizations intend to create investment structures that link policy financing with private capital to reduce project risks.

During the visit to the Hyundai headquarters, the AfDB delegation reviewed the company's robotics and autonomous systems, including the Spot and DAL-e robots. These demonstrations highlighted the group's technological capabilities in integrated mobility ecosystems.

The agreement serves as a foundation for long-term cooperation, with both parties planning to identify specific investment initiatives and implementation frameworks. The partnership seeks to enhance industrial competitiveness and support the continent's energy transition.
