Hyundai is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the upcoming launch of the IONIQ 4 and IONIQ 7 SUVs. The IONIQ 4 will be a B-segment model positioned between the IONIQ 3 and IONIQ 5, while the IONIQ 7 will serve as a mid-range option between the IONIQ 5 and the flagship IONIQ 9.

The IONIQ 7 is expected to feature a boxy SUV design with two- and three-row seating configurations. It will likely utilize an 800V architecture for fast charging and offer single- or dual-motor powertrains. The vehicle is projected to provide a WLTP range of at least 400 miles and include the Pleos Connect infotainment system.

The IONIQ 4 will share battery options with the IONIQ 3, which currently offers 42 kWh and 61 kWh packs with WLTP ranges of 214 and 308 miles. In the UK, the starting price for the IONIQ 4 is estimated at £25 000. For the US market, the IONIQ 7 is expected to be priced between $40 000 and $45 000.

Both new models are scheduled for release within the next 12 to 18 months. While the IONIQ 4 is unlikely to reach the US market due to the presence of the Kia EV3, the IONIQ 7 is expected to be available to American consumers as a larger alternative to the existing IONIQ 5.
