Decentralized perpetual exchange Hyperliquid has reached a new record in open interest, with the figure climbing to $18 billion. This milestone follows a previous peak of $16.36 billion, which was recorded only days prior to the current high.
The increase in outstanding derivatives exposure indicates a rise in platform activity. This growth aligns with a broader upward trend observed across the cryptocurrency derivatives market, signaling heightened engagement from users.
Recent reports also highlight that Hyperliquid is planning to launch US markets in collaboration with Kraken, subject to regulatory approval. Furthermore, the platform's valuation has reached $91 billion, surpassing that of NASDAQ and LSEG.
Market confidence was recently bolstered by a large long position of $4 million taken by CL207 on the exchange. Analysts continue to monitor institutional involvement and potential technological updates as key factors for future platform performance.
