Decentralized exchange Hyperliquid is expanding its product suite by introducing options trading to its platform. Founder Jeff announced the integration at the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit, noting that the new feature will allow users to hedge spot and perpetual futures positions using the same order books.
The platform operates on its own Layer-1 blockchain, HyperCore, which currently supports spot and perpetual futures trading. This expansion aims to provide a more robust set of tools for risk management and strategy execution for its users.
Hyperliquid reported a trading volume of approximately $2.9 trillion throughout 2025. The platform currently holds a market share of 59–60% of the total on-chain derivatives open interest.
Market sentiment remains focused on the platform's growth, with current predictions indicating a 76% probability of the asset reaching a price of $100 by the end of 2026. Further details regarding the official rollout timeline for the options feature are expected to be released by the company.
