Hygon Information has officially launched the 1000 series, a new line of lightweight CPUs based on the C86 architecture. This release marks the company's expansion from cloud-based computing into edge and terminal device markets, focusing on low-power and embedded applications.
The 1000 series is designed to integrate CPU, GPU, and NPU computing power depending on specific scenario requirements. This new lineup complements the company's existing portfolio, which already includes the 7000, 5000, and 3000 series processors, previously positioned for flagship, mid-range, and high-value segments.
The new processors feature native security technologies, including support for national cryptographic standards, ECC, and hardware-based password acceleration. They also integrate an iGPU capable of dual-channel 4K60 display output and mainstream video encoding and decoding while maintaining low power consumption.
In terms of connectivity and compatibility, the 1000 series supports PCIe 4.0, TSN, and both DDR4 and DDR5 memory standards. The hardware utilizes the existing C86 software ecosystem to minimize migration and adaptation costs for developers.
The chips are intended for use in industrial automation, network edge infrastructure, energy utilities, transportation, and industrial robotics. Alongside the product launch, Hygon initiated a partnership program to foster joint innovation and software-hardware integration with industry collaborators.
