Swedish manufacturer HUDDIG has updated its 1370 TIGON hybrid wheel loader platform for the new model year. The primary change is an increase in battery capacity from 44 kWh to 61 kWh, representing a 40% improvement in energy storage for the heavy equipment machine.
The new G2 model also introduces regenerative braking technology. This system allows the loader to recover electrical energy during braking, while driving downhill, or when lowering the boom, further extending the machine's operational efficiency.
The company reports that its first-generation fleet of 41 machines had logged 96,306 hours of operation. These units saved an estimated 140,439 gallons of diesel fuel, with the previous generation running on electric power for nearly 60% of the time.
The 1370 TIGON is designed for versatility and can be equipped with a loader-mounted crane or an insulated bucket lift. It also supports remote control operation, allowing for flexible use across various construction and industrial work sites.
