Huawei has opened pre-orders for the new color editions of its FreeClip 2 open-ear headphones. The devices are priced at ¥1299 and are available in three dual-tone combinations: red and yellow, blue and yellow, and red and blue.

The headphones feature a third-generation proprietary low-power chip with an integrated NPU, which provides a tenfold increase in computing power. The device supports the HarmonyOS AI assistant, enabling features such as head-tracking audio notifications, smart voice announcements, and real-time translation via the Xiaoyi assistant.

The audio system utilizes 10.8mm dual-diaphragm drivers, delivering a 100% increase in loudness and low-frequency performance. The headphones support L2HC audio encoding, spatial audio with a 40% reduction in head-tracking latency, and NearLink technology for precise location tracking and audio transmission.

The hardware includes a 60mAh battery in each earbud, providing 9 hours of playback, while the 537mAh charging case extends total battery life to 38 hours. A 10-minute charge provides 3 hours of usage. The design uses liquid silicone and memory metal, with each earbud weighing 5.1g and featuring IP57 dust and water resistance.
