Huawei has officially introduced the Ruiying Z10 modular camera, which is priced at ¥5 999. The device is currently available in two versions, H1 and H2, designed specifically for the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector's Edition and the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design models.
The camera features a detachable adapter ring system, as explained by Huawei terminal BG CTO Li Xiaolong. This design allows users to swap the adapter ring without any tools, ensuring compatibility with future smartphone models even if their physical form factors change.
The Ruiying Z10 is a proprietary product featuring the HyperClick mount. It is equipped with a 1-inch 50MP sensor and an optical lens system consisting of 16 elements in 6 groups. The camera supports 10x continuous optical zoom, covering a focal range from 24mm to 240mm with an aperture of F2.0-4.5.
Huawei plans to expand support for the Ruiying modular camera to additional smartphone models in the future. The system relies on the connected smartphone for image processing and data storage tasks.
