Huawei's Xinghe communication team recently conducted a field test of its in-vehicle connectivity technology on the Duku Highway. According to Richard Yu, executive director of Huawei, the system maintained a stable signal in over 98.7% of the road segments tested using the Stelato G9 vehicle.
Xinghe communication is positioned as one of the six core technologies within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. The system features active intelligent network selection and dual-network standby capabilities. It supports triple-network connectivity and provides network acceleration in areas with weak signal coverage.
The technology allows users to share the vehicle's internet connection with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. In locations without terrestrial network coverage, the system enables satellite-based voice calls and emergency communication services. The technology debuted in the Maextro S800 model launched in February last year.
The Duku Highway, which spans from Dushanzi District in Karamay to Kuqa City in the Aksu Prefecture, remains open for the National Day holiday. Official regulations state that the road will close for the winter season starting October 8, 2026, at 20:00, restricting general traffic while exempting specific construction and transport vehicles.
