Zeng Qinglin, General Manager of the Voyah automobile brand, recently visited Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei alongside Dongfeng Motor General Manager Feng Changjun. During the meeting, Ren Zhengfei reaffirmed Huawei's long-standing corporate strategy regarding the automotive industry.

Ren Zhengfei stated that Huawei does not intend to manufacture its own vehicles. Instead, the company aims to leverage its expertise in intelligent systems to assist partners like Dongfeng in developing high-quality cars, emphasizing Dongfeng's existing manufacturing foundation.

Huawei's rotating chairman, Xu Zhijun, previously clarified that the company's decision to establish the independent entity Yinwang is tied to its commitment not to build cars. He noted that if Huawei were to manufacture vehicles, it would limit its market share to 10-20 percent.

According to Xu, independent operations allow Yinwang to serve a broader range of partners rather than focusing solely on internal projects. He added that building proprietary manufacturing facilities would lead to redundant infrastructure and inefficient resource allocation.
