Huawei is reportedly preparing to launch a new smartphone series, referred to as Xingyao or Star-Shine, as early as November 2026. The project has been subject to speculation for several years, with the company registering relevant trademarks such as Xingyao Mobile Phone and Xingyao Edition back in 2023.
Recent reports suggest that the Xingyao line may evolve from the existing Nova series to become an independent sub-brand. This follows earlier conflicting rumors that Huawei had abandoned the sub-brand strategy, citing that its current product portfolio already covers all necessary market segments.
Despite the ongoing rumors, Huawei has not provided official confirmation regarding the new series. When contacted for comment, the company's support service stated that it currently lacks specific information and advised consumers to monitor official announcements on the corporate website and Weibo account.
