Huawei has officially completed the development of its next-generation Kirin mobile processors, which are slated for integration into devices launching in 2027. This update was shared by Xu Songyu, the head of wireless chip product management, during the Kirin Media Communication Event 2026.
According to company representatives, the new chips have already undergone initial testing and demonstrated performance levels that meet internal expectations. While specific technical benchmarks and hardware specifications remain undisclosed, the company confirmed that the architecture continues to evolve.
The company views the advancement of its proprietary hardware platform as a strategic priority for long-term business growth. This development follows the recent launch of the 2026 Kirin series, which debuted alongside the Mate XT 2 foldable smartphone last month.
Market performance for the current Kirin 9050 Pro processors has been described as successful by the manufacturer. Regarding the future lineup, Huawei has not yet finalized pricing for the 2027 chips, noting that costs will be determined based on market demand.
