Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.107 SP8 update for the MatePad Mini tablet. The update package size is 1.28 GB and introduces several system optimizations and new features for users.
The primary addition is the direct power supply feature, accessible via the game assistant menu. When activated, the tablet draws power directly from the charger once a specific battery level is reached, which helps reduce device overheating during use. This setting is temporary and disables itself automatically after the charging session ends.
The update also introduces layer management for the Notes application, allowing users to organize annotations, drafts, and other content into separate layers. Additionally, the release improves the display quality of wallpapers and themes, refines the calendar interface in desktop mode, and optimizes particle effects for immersive lighting.
System stability and usability have been enhanced through improvements to screen orientation transitions and general interface rendering in settings and the control center. The update also resolves a bug where application icons would incorrectly appear on the desktop when using the quick action bar.
