Huawei has officially introduced the Mate 90 Pro Max, the company's latest flagship smartphone. During the product launch event, Richard Yu, chairman of the Terminal BG, announced that the device features the industry's first four-SIM, three-standby capability.

The new functionality is achieved by combining physical SIM cards with eSIM technology. The device's interface displays signal status for three cards simultaneously, with the primary card shown in full and secondary cards stacked. It also supports 5A communication for three cards at once.

This development follows the company's previous implementation of eSIM technology in the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design model, which launched in December of last year. That device supported up to four numbers using a configuration of two physical SIM cards and two eSIMs.
