The new Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max, which debuted on October 1, now includes a View Once feature within HarmonyOS 7. This functionality allows users to send images that automatically become inaccessible on the recipient's device after a single viewing.
The feature was showcased in a 41-second video shared by industry insider Ice Universe and Zhong Wenze. The demonstration shows a photo of Pikachu being sent between two smartphones. Once the recipient opens the image, it is displayed once before becoming blurred and unavailable for further access.
To enhance the user experience, the system incorporates a visual effect when closing the image that mimics a burning photo negative. These animations are designed to integrate the feature seamlessly into the overall HarmonyOS 7 interface, ensuring the process remains intuitive for users.
