The upcoming Huawei Mate 90 series will feature advanced camera sensors from SmartSens. The main camera setup includes 50MP SC575XS and 50MP SC595XS sensors, both utilizing the new LOFIC technology for improved image quality.

The device is expected to debut the 200MP SCC85XS periscope telephoto lens. This sensor is notable for being fully developed and manufactured domestically in China, offering 4X lossless zoom and a dynamic range of 83dB.

Reports indicate that the front-facing camera and multispectral sensors will also be supplied by SmartSens. Additionally, the upcoming Huawei Mate X8 is expected to incorporate similar sensor technology from the same manufacturer.

The Mate 90 series will retain the signature star-ring design and is scheduled for release in late September. The lineup is anticipated to feature the newly launched Kirin 9050 Pro processor, which is the first logic-folding tau chip.
