Huawei has initiated the rollout of the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.107 SP8 update for its Mate 80 smartphone series. The update package size is approximately 0.97 GB. Users can check for the availability of the new firmware through the software update section in the device settings.

The update introduces several functional improvements across the system. Specifically, it enhances the camera recording experience and optimizes the display of icons within the control center and file management interfaces. Audio performance and call stability have also been improved in certain scenarios.

Additional system refinements include better particle effects for light-sensing visuals and improved auto-reconnection for communication sharing features. The update also addresses calendar display issues in table mode and includes general stability patches to improve overall system reliability.

Huawei is distributing this update in batches, meaning not all users will receive the notification simultaneously. Those who have not yet received the automatic prompt can manually trigger the update process by navigating to the system settings menu and selecting the check for updates option.
