Huawei has launched the M2 smart door lock, which is now available on JD.com. The device is priced at ¥799, with some regions offering a subsidized price as low as ¥679.15. The lock features an EAL5+ security chip paired with a secondary control chip for dual-layer authentication.

The M2 supports eight unlocking methods, including an AI-powered fingerprint scanner. The scanner features active learning, a 0.5-second recognition time, and a false acceptance rate of less than 0.00001. The system includes multiple security alerts, such as anti-tampering, anti-pry, and duress fingerprint detection, alongside a mechanical deadbolt.

The device is powered by four batteries, providing a lifespan of up to 18 months, with USB-C emergency power support. The circuit board is protected by a patented waterproof coating against moisture and dust. Users can integrate the lock into a smart home system for remote management via a gateway or specific Huawei routers.
