Huawei has launched the HarmonyOS 7 beta program for older devices, including the Mate 60, Mate X5, and Pura 70 series, starting September 17. Users can register for the update through the system settings menu.

The update introduces several visual and functional enhancements. Key features include new particle animation effects for notifications and app management, customizable lock screen clock styles, and eye-tracking page turning. The system also brings back the Super Power Saving mode and adds an Outdoor Exploration mode with emergency navigation and communication tools.

Gaming performance is improved through new Game Assistant features. These include direct power supply to the system during wired charging to reduce heat, real-time memory clearing, and intelligent frame rate stabilization. The update also optimizes device thumbnails in settings and adds collaborative authentication for hands-free voice assistant usage.

Communication and system tools have been updated as well. MeeTime now supports screen sharing, and the Zhuoyitong tool has been upgraded to support the AOSP 16 environment. These updates aim to enhance overall system performance and user experience across supported legacy hardware.
