Huawei has launched the Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master, a tri-fold smartphone featuring a 10.2-inch 3K display. The device utilizes a G-shaped folding mechanism, measuring 3.5 mm in thickness when fully unfolded and 12.3 mm when folded. It is the first tri-fold model to receive IP58/IP59 ingress protection.

The handset is powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro processor, which delivers a 42% increase in overall performance. The integrated Ma Liang GPU supports hardware-based ray tracing, while the Da Vinci NPU enables the execution of a 30-billion parameter MoE model. Connectivity includes satellite support via Tiantong and Beidou.

The camera system consists of a 50 MP main sensor with a variable aperture, a 50 MP periscope module with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 40 MP ultra-wide lens. Users can purchase an optional teleconverter for $221 to extend optical zoom to 13.5x. The device also features the Lingdun privacy system to restrict viewing angles.

Running on HarmonyOS 7, the smartphone supports multi-window multitasking and the M-Pen 3 Mini stylus. It includes an ECG analysis function and is available in black, white, and purple. Standard versions include a protective case valued at $75.

Pricing for the device starts at $2,955 for the 16/256 GB configuration. Higher storage tiers reach up to $3,545 for 1 TB, while the special edition with 2 TB of storage and a stylus is priced at $4,430.
