Huawei has officially updated its software support policy, setting the end-of-support date for HarmonyOS 1.0 to September 14, 2026. This decision marks the conclusion of technical assistance, including software upgrades and updates for the platform.
The company also scheduled the end of support for several other versions. EMUI 9.1.X, EMUI 10.X, EMUI 11.0.0, HarmonyOS 2.0.0 AP, and HarmonyOS 4.0.0 AQ will lose support on May 28, 2025. Earlier versions, including EMUI 1.X through 9.0.X, reached their end-of-support date on March 5, 2024.
Huawei clarified that the scope of support termination applies to operating systems used in consumer devices. While standard updates will cease, the company noted that it may still provide critical security patches for severe vulnerabilities even after the official support period concludes, depending on the specific situation.
