Huawei executive Yu Chengdong and Chery chairman Yin Tongyue were spotted together at the Huawei Bantian base in Shenzhen. The two executives were seen inspecting the updated Luxeed R7 model, which is scheduled to open for pre-orders this month.
The refreshed Luxeed R7 features a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 855 km. The vehicle has undergone chassis tuning to improve handling, aiming to provide a driving experience similar to a sports sedan despite its SUV form factor.
The interior of the new model includes a wrap-around cockpit design, a D-shaped steering wheel, and a dual-screen layout. The infotainment system has been upgraded to the latest HarmonyOS, which is also utilized in the AITO M9.
Exterior modifications include a redesigned tailgate and the addition of a side-mounted high-position camera on the B-pillar. The vehicle now features semi-hidden door handles and a hollowed-out logo design to enhance its aesthetic appeal.
