Huawei has announced a strategic shift regarding the Xiaoyi Bangbang helper, an exploratory AI agent introduced with HarmonyOS 6.0. The company confirmed that this feature will no longer be available for new devices joining the ecosystem.
Despite the restriction on new hardware, existing users will retain access to the tool. Devices that supported the agent under HarmonyOS 6.0 will continue to function normally, and personal skills or scheduled tasks will remain operational after upgrading to HarmonyOS 7.0.
The Xiaoyi Bangbang agent is designed for application control across various scenarios. Users can locate the feature within the agent conversation list or via the search function in the platform's square interface.
