Huawei Terminal China President Xu Qinsong addressed employees this week, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) brand. He confirmed that the company will continue to develop the broader 'four brands' portfolio while consolidating control under the HIMA system.

A significant shift involves transferring the authorization of certain Huawei retail stores from Huawei to Seres. While Seres will take responsibility for these locations, the AITO brand will not completely exit the HIMA channel. A portion of stores will continue to showcase AITO models alongside other HIMA vehicles to maintain a visible connection.

Seres Group Vice President Kang Bo stated that the new model grants Seres primary control over product definition, design, marketing, retail, and service. Huawei will continue to provide technical support and supply chain guarantees, ensuring that AITO vehicles retain access to the latest Huawei technologies.

The transition follows a joint announcement on September 15, where HIMA and AITO declared that the AITO brand would move toward an exclusive, dedicated sales network. This restructuring aims to balance brand independence for AITO with the ongoing strategic partnership between Seres and Huawei.
