Huawei has officially enabled the NearLink gaming channel feature for its X3 Pro Rizhao Jinshan router. This technology allows compatible devices to establish a direct connection to the router, bypassing standard wireless protocols to reduce latency and network stuttering during gaming sessions.
The feature is currently compatible with select models, including the Mate 80 series. Users can verify the connection status and manage connected devices directly through the Huawei Smart Life application. The interface provides a clear overview of which devices are utilizing the NearLink channel versus standard wireless connections.
It is important to note that the NearLink functionality is dependent on the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure. A device must be connected to the router's Wi-Fi network to initiate and maintain a NearLink connection. Without an active Wi-Fi link, the NearLink channel remains unavailable for the smartphone.
