Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.109 patch for devices including the Mate 80 series. The update package is approximately 206.99 MB in size and aims to improve the user experience in specific scenarios.
The update introduces a multi-device communication sharing feature. Users can share their mobile network by tapping devices together, provided the sharing device is on the designated settings page.
This feature allows up to three devices to connect and share the mobile data of the primary device. The system utilizes Huawei Cloud enhanced acceleration to optimize network performance during shared usage.
The technology was previously debuted on the Mate 90 series. According to internal tests conducted by Huawei engineers on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, the feature reduced video call lag by 90% when combining network resources from different carriers.
