Huawei has released a new software patch for the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.109 version, specifically targeting the Mate 80 series and other compatible models. The update package is approximately 206.99MB in size and focuses on optimizing user experience across various scenarios.
A key addition in this update is the introduction of an air gesture-based encrypted sharing feature. Users can initiate this by grabbing content with an air gesture, waiting for an animation, and then flipping their hand. This mechanism allows for secure, one-time viewing of shared files.
The encrypted content is restricted to a single view and cannot be screenshotted, screen-recorded, or forwarded. Furthermore, images and videos shared through this method do not display thumbnails. Users can access these files by navigating to the Privacy and Security section under Encrypted Shared Files.
In addition to the new gesture controls, the patch introduces multi-device collaborative communication sharing. This update aims to streamline how devices interact within the Huawei ecosystem, providing users with more robust tools for managing data privacy and device connectivity.
