HTX Ventures has released a report titled The Convergence of CeFi, DeFi, and TradFi in 2026. The document outlines a shift toward a hybrid institutional architecture for digital assets, where specialized market leaders occupy distinct layers of the financial stack.
According to the analysis, TradFi provides regulated yield-bearing assets, while centralized platforms handle compliance and execution. DeFi protocols contribute programmable infrastructure for risk management and backend operations. This model aims to offer institutions a more controlled environment for asset adoption.
The report suggests that market power is shifting toward entities that manage asset issuance, distribution, and client relationships. HTX Ventures, which currently supports over 300 blockchain projects, emphasizes that this structural change is reshaping the digital asset landscape.
HTX Ventures operates as a global investment division and a fund of funds. The firm collaborates with 30 major global funds, including Polychain, Dragonfly, Bankless, Gitcoin, Figment, Nomad, Animoca, and Hack VC, to support the development of the blockchain ecosystem.
