HPE has unveiled four new ProLiant Gen13 servers powered by AMD EPYC 9006 processors. The updated hardware lineup introduces enhanced security features, including automatic SED encryption, multi-user authorization, and improved post-quantum cryptography (PQC) capabilities.
The ProLiant DL525 Gen13 is a compact 1U single-socket system featuring up to 256 CPU cores and 16-channel memory support. It is compatible with DDR5 RDIMM and MRDIMM standards and includes PCIe Gen6 connectivity, targeting workloads like AI inference, fraud detection, and financial data processing.
For more demanding tasks, the dual-socket ProLiant DL585a Gen13 supports up to eight double-slot PCIe GPUs, designed for virtualization, RAG model fine-tuning, and agentic AI. These systems are scheduled to hit the market later this year.
The company also introduced the OCP-compliant ProLiant XD245 and XD285 models for large-scale compute-intensive applications. The XD245 is a 1OU four-node liquid-cooled system supporting up to eight CPUs, while the XD285 features a 2OU two-node air-cooled design.
