Hewlett Packard Enterprise has secured a $1.2 billion order from Vultr to supply its new Helios rack-scale AI systems. These units utilize AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs and Zen 6 EPYC processors, providing up to 2.9 exaFLOPS of FP4 performance per rack. The hardware includes liquid cooling and AMD Pensando networking.

Vultr expects to begin deployments of the Helios systems in Q4 2026. Alongside this, the company is building a $1 billion cluster in Ohio featuring 24 000 AMD MI355X GPUs and a 50-megawatt capacity, slated for early 2026. Vultr is also integrating NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems into its infrastructure.

Following the deal, HPE updated its financial outlook. The company projects revenue growth of 13–17% and operating profit growth of 14–18% for FY27. It expects EPS between $4.40 and $4.60, with free cash flow reaching at least $5 billion. These figures do not yet account for the Helios order.

HPE reported a record network order backlog of $2.2 billion in its Q3 FY2026 earnings. Analysts at Bank of America suggest the Helios partnership could generate billions in additional revenue for HPE, as the company provides comprehensive rack and networking solutions rather than individual components.
